FAQ

Many of your questions might be answered by the FAQ section on Celga's site. Here are a few more:

1.     What is your turnaround time?
2.     What is this going to cost me?
3.     What are your shipping charges?
4.     Why is there gobbledy-gook after the English titles or names in your links?
5.     Can you make up other links or more specialized links to help me search?

1. What is your turnaround time?

Once you send us an order,

for fixed-price items: we'll usually email you within 24 hours to let you know if the purchase was successful;

for auction items: we'll confirm receipt of your bid request within 24 hours; the bid will usually be placed three to six hours before the auction ending time.

After a successful buy or auction, it usually takes 2-3 weeks for the item to get to us from the seller in Japan, after which we hold the item until you tell us to ship it to you. For more details about shipping, see Celga's shipping info page.

2. What is this going to cost me?

Please see Celga's fees page. One difference for fixed-price items is that, since the price is already known and we'll be buying the item immediately, rather than waiting for an auction to end, you must have enough money in your account with us to cover the item's full asking price. Like auctions, purchases made from the same seller at the same time can be combined to save on commission, banking fee, and within-Japan shipping costs.

3. What are your shipping charges?

Please see Celga's fees and shipping info pages.

4. Why is there gobbledy-gook after the English titles or names in your links?

Well...that's supposed to be the name of the series, author, etc. in Japanese characters (the encoding is UTF-8 for anyone who's interested). If you're not seeing kana and kanji, you'll need to install Japanese language support on your computer. The Japanese Studies Network Forum has a good page on how to install support for Windows and Mac systems, and Craig Oda has written what looks to be almost a manual on support for Linux.

5. Can you make up other links or more specialized links to help me search?

We'll give it a shot, as time allows - just email us to let us know what you need.
